After completing his rigorous education and working in the industry, Dr. Sean decided it was time to build a dental practice that fulfilled what it meant to him to serve our community as a dentist. When he set out to start developing Southridge Dental, there was one idea at the root of it: Dr. Sean wanted to create a practice that he, as a dentist, would want to go to. Simple as that!

As a dentist himself, he would hold any practice he attended to pretty high standards. Dr. Simper began to explore this idea some more and discovered the most important things he would focus on for Southridge Dental:

A Little About Kennewick’s Best Dentist

Dr. Sean was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. While he was there, he graduated from the University of Calgary with a degree in Biology and Psychology. When he completed his degrees, Dr. Sean moved to Australia to attend the University of Sydney Faculty of Dentistry. He worked in Australia for a year but still had a desire to learn more!

From there, he was accepted to the University of Texas for a one-year-long advanced education in general dentistry. Driving to be the best dentist he possibly could be, Dr. Simper accepted a second residency through the University of Washington. Because of his commitment to education and learning, Dr. Sean has received countless accreditations and qualifications.

Dr. Sean Simper is married to his beautiful wife, Jen, and they have 3 wonderful boys together: their oldest is Ozzy, followed by twins Xavier and Sebastien. When Dr. Sean isn’t busy, there’s a good chance you can find him on one of the Tri-Cities’ many golf courses!

Dental Accreditations, Special Qualifications & Achievements

If there is one thing Dr. Simper prides himself on, it is his rigid pursuit of additional knowledge in order to give his patients the very best and latest in dental treatment.

Dr. Simper is a longstanding member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). Operating for over 65 years, the AGD has 40,000 dedicated members, out of 200,000 dentists nationwide. These member dentists are the leaders in the dental industry, for the AGD also provides a rigid continuing educational program for both a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a Master of the Academy of the Academy of General Dentistry.

Only 6% of dentists hold the Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry designation, and Dr. Simper is one of those. To achieve this designation, Dr. Simper met the requirements of 500 hours of approved continuing education courses and had to pass a final examination to gain the award. (What dedication!)

This places Dr. Simper in the top 6% of dentists nationwide and explains why patients love him, his services, and Southridge Dental. He is committed to being the best he can be!

Dr. Simper continues to work on his Master of the Academy of General Dentistry, which requires an additional 500 hours of ongoing continuing education. When he completes the program, he will then be in the top 2% of dentists in the United States.
